<p>All their hits have been played by generations of DJ&#8217;s like Miss DJAX, Adam Beyer, Nina Kraviz, Tiesto, AVB, Ferry Corsten, Paul Oakenfold, Mark Sherry, T78, Veerus, Paul Van Dyk and many many more.Markus Schneider left the project in the &#8217;90s. <p>Josh Wink is een Amerikaanse dj en producer. Hij werd bij het grote publiek bekend door zijn destijds opvallende nummers Higher State of Consciousness en Don&#8217;t Laugh die uitkwamen in 1995. De stijl van Wink, zoals hij zich ook noemt, is een combinatie van de housestijlen acid, techno en club.</p>

<p>Op Wooferland zal hij een speciale classics set draaien met een invalshoek zoals alleen onze groene vriend dat kan.</p>
<p>Dr. Lektroluv is het pseudoniem van de Belgische producer Stefaan Vandenberghe die onder de naam T-Quest talloze technoclassics heeft geproduceerd. Sinds 2002 heeft hij zich zijn herkenbare outfit aangemeten (met aparte koptelefoon) en draait onder de naam Dr. Lektroluv een mengelmoes van begin jaren 80-italo, new wave, EBM en hedendaagse electro en techno: heden en verleden met elkaar verbonden door scheurende bassen, arpeggiator-baslijnen en vette beats. Naast het dj-en runt hij zijn eigen platenlabel genaamd Lektroluv</p>

<p>808 State is een elektronicagroep uit Radcliffe, Groot-Brittannië en ontleent zijn naam aan de legendarische drumcomputer Roland TR-808. De muziek van 808 State varieert van house, techno, ambient tot acid house. De groep is met name bekend om de househit Pacific state.</p>

<p>Richard West, beter bekend als Mr. C, is een Engelse house-dj, producer en rapper. Hij was de resident DJ tijdens de vroege acid house &#8220;RIP&#8221;-avonden in Clink Street, Londen, en later was hij mede-eigenaar/mede-oprichter van de Londense nachtclub The End.</p>

<p>Joey Beltram is een Amerikaanse technoproducer. Hij staat bekend om producties die hard, duister en repetitief zijn. Zijn producties Energy Flash en Mentasm worden als invloedrijk gezien in de ontwikkeling van house.</p>

<p>The music career of Dimitri Kneppers’ (1967), better known as ‘Dimitri from Amsterdam’, reads like an encyclopedia. A Dutch house encyclopedia, that is. After 30 years of spinning records you could call this DJ a true veteran, known for his enormous sensitivity, true feeling and mixing skills. </p>
<p>Hardly anybody ever felt and looked so comfortable behind the decks as DJ Dimitri. Ecstasy is no longer just a word, but a true magical moment as the crowd, the surroundings and the music all come together in one hypnotizing state of happiness. This man knows -or should we say feels- what he is doing, not only behind the decks but also when producing his own music. </p>
<p>In 1988 Dimitri obtains his first residency at club Richter in Amsterdam and starts spinning in the legendary RoXY, where he distinguishes himself from the rest of the DJ-ing world through his bold and innovative mixing techniques. </p>
<p>Dimitri is one of the first DJs to mix a house record with breakbeats or drum ‘n bass, proving he is not only capable of mixing those two records together by tempo and rhythm , but also just by melody or tune/pitch, creating real-time compositions. At that time this was really groundbreaking. A style that has been copied ever so often, although never truly coming close to the master himself.</p>


Dimitri

<p>Erick Eerdhuizen begon zijn carrière als hiphop-dj in discotheek Prinsenhof in Zaandam. In 1989 werd Eerdhuizen Nederlands kampioen mix/scratch. Niet veel later ging hij over op house. In 1995 resulteerde dit tot resident-dj van de RoXY in Amsterdam. Daarna groeide hij uit tot een van de succesvolste dj&#8217;s van Nederland.</p>
<p>Samen met Olav Basoski vormde hij een duo, waarmee hij halverwege de jaren 90 een grote clubhit scoorde met &#8216;Don&#8217;t turn your back&#8217;. Later startte hij met Basoski het platenlabel Work, waarbij hij zich naast dj ook als producer met muziek ging bezighouden. Nu is hij vooral bekend door Housequake, wat hij samen met Roog doet, en Sneakerz, dat hij samen met Fedde le Grand organiseert.</p>
<p>De dancekenner weet dat wanneer Erick op de line-up staat je een set vol met energie en strakke overgangen kan verwachten. Met zijn onuitputtelijke smile weet hij altijd het publiek mee te nemen op een onvergetelijke muzikale reis.</p>

Billy Nasty born 28th March 1969, has been DJing half his life, and spent ten years on the world circuit as a professional spinner. He has played at some of the biggest dance events on the planet, and consistently stars in the upper regions of DJ Magazines Top 100 DJs Poll. He has enjoyed a busy recording career, formed a seminal techno label to match his DJing success, and set up his own DJ agency to bring nurtured talent to the world.</p>
<p>Nasty&#8217;s passion for music started early, enjoying rare groove, go-go and funk. Billy had already taken up DJing when house music exploded in the UK in the late 1980s.<br />
Nasty was pushed to the cutting-edge of London dance culture when in 1989 he was taken on by well-known record shop Zoom. This position built up his industry contacts whilst providing a well-timed boost to his DJ reputation. At the beginning of 1990, Nasty won his first residency with Steve Bicknell. Based in Sohos notorious Brain Club, -The Exploding Plastic Inevitable- ran for two and a half years. &#8220;We played nu-groove records, loops, and European stuff-, explains Nasty. -Dance mixes of Happy Mondays, My Bloody Valentine and James also featured heavily-. Its widely acknowledged that these sounds were the paving stones for the building progressive house scene.</p>
<p>Alongside co-promoter Jim Masters, Nasty founded Open To Torture, a bi-monthly event at The End in London. Co-existing with his Tortured label and his peculiar surname, all of his events are monickered to shock people into remembering them. Evidently, it works fine. To this day, OTT survives as one of the few quality techno nights in London. It has acted as a showcase for talent both attached to and around the label. Guests have included The Advent, Green Velvet, DJ Slip, Oliver Ho, Holy Ghost, Swag, Laidback Luke, Cherry Bomb and Access 58.</p>
<p>1998 saw Nasty&#8217;s first expedition to the States, the Americans quickly warming to his style. He has returned frequently to spin at New Yorks legendary Twilo and also in places such as Chicago, Detroit, Washington, San Francisco, LA, Toronto, Seattle and Canada. Back in Europe, he was voted second most popular international DJ of &#8217;98 by Dutch dance fans.<br />
Of late, Nasty has been managing the general running and shaping of the Tortured label, recently celebrating its twentieth release. The Theremin agency boasts a roster that includes Space DJz, Adam Beyer, Cari Lekebusch, Daz Saund, Marco Carola, Umek, Gaetek, Joel Mull, Steve Rachmad, Nick Rapaccioli, Craig Walsh, Oliver Ho, Keith Fielder, Alex Handley, Christian Smith, Mark Ambrose, Laidback Luke and Mark Wiliams.</p>
<p>Tortured also put out &#8216;The Torture Chamber&#8217;; a brand new mix CD by Billy demonstrating the quality and style of Tortured&#8217;s trademark thumping beats and power cuts. &#8220;I wanted to do the mix CD as a label compilation because I think that we&#8217;ve put out some superb music out on the label-, he says. It will be the first in a series of ten, with DJs involved with the label mixing future ones. -I want this to be the best series of techno CD&#8217;s for the next decade&#8221;, he says wistfully.</p>

<p>Oliver Lieb is een Duitse producent van elektronische muziek. Zijn stijl is het best te omschrijven als een mix van trance en techno, maar Lieb maakt ook hardtrance, minimal, house, electro, ambient, IDM en eurodance. Hij beschikt over een uitgebreide studio met analoge synthesizers.</p>

<p>Niet te stoppen, krachtvoer voor je (sub)woofers! Onze eigen Techno-acid Queen Miss Djax! De hoeveelheid afgebroken tenten die de Eindhovense oprichtster van Djax Records op haar naam heeft staan loopt in de duizenden. Na Wooferland op 25 augustus 2018 kan ze daar ongetwijfeld nog een dansvloer aan toevoegen.</p>

<p>Mister Hardsoul, Roog! Veelzijdiger dan een Zwitsers zakmes en meer gigs op zak dan Partyflock pagina&#8217;s heeft! Naast zijn eigen carriere behaalde hij menig mijpaalje met de formatie Housequake samen met Erick-E. Ook als producer scoorde Roog diverse hits waarvan &#8220;Back Together&#8221; in 2003 voor zijn doorbraak zorgde.</p>

<p>De carriere van Remy begon met zijn residency op de evenementen van Stichting De Confrontatie in Den Haag. Deze stichting was eind jaren tachtig o.a. de moeder van alle (acid)house-events in Den Haag. Een voorbeeld voor de latere Gottham City en Silly Symphonies feesten. Zijn eerste grote optreden was het multi-disciplinaire evenement &#8220;Car Crash&#8221; in de voormalige RIVA Torengarage in de Torenstraat in Den Haag eind maart 1990. Later volgde o.a. de evenementen &#8220;Foreign Affair&#8221;en &#8220;Garbage?&#8221;. Allemaal producties van Stichting De Confrontatie.</p>
<p>Daarna werd hij ontdekt door Joost &#8220;Speedfreax&#8221; van Bellen. Zijn eerste club residency was in Club Roxy (Amsterdam). Hij was 1 van de legendarische 3 roxy grootheden: Dimitri, Marcello &amp; Remy.</p>
<p>Het logische vervolg was dat Remy ging produceren, hij releasde verschillende 12&#8243;&#8216;s bij Wonka (Belgium) als &#8216;The Traveller&#8217;. Hij richte samen met Sven van Hees het &#8216;Global Cuts&#8217; label (R&amp;S sublabel) op. Remy verliet GC in 1994 om zijn eigen label op te zetten; Taste Recordings en later Area Code 070.</p>
<p>Hij verkende steeds meer de donkerde kant van housemuziek nadat hij PvD&#8217;s remix of &#8220;Love Stimulation&#8221; beluisterd had. Zijn muziekvoorkeur veranderde naar underground techno/techhouse in de jaren.</p>
<p>Zijn internationale DJ carriere &#8216;boomed&#8217; nadat hij de wereldkampioenschappen DJ&#8217;ing won in Cannes. Remy maakte diverse cd-compilaties, zoals Mellow Moods (1&amp;2) en Silly Symphonies (1-5) tijdens zijn carriere.</p>
<p>Sinds 1999 heeft hij zijn eigen platenstudio en is produceren belangrijker geworden dan draaien. De platen &#8220;Backstabber&#8221;, &#8220;Cousteau&#8221; en &#8220;Pumped Up&#8221; zijn al verschenen op diverse internationale compilaties en worden veel gedraaid door internationale dj&#8217;s.</p>

<p>DJ Rob was de DJ waar elke houseliefhebber het over had toen hij begin jaren negentig zijn draaitafelkunsten liet zien in de Rotterdamse Club PARKZICHT.</p>
<p>De legendarische club Parkzicht was meer dan <strong>hardcore</strong> en <strong>gabber</strong>. Het was een muzikaal experiment met techno en andere housemuziek met DJ Rob aan het roer. Een muzikale reis waar iedereen bij wilde zijn. Nationale en internationale top DJ’s en producers trokken regelmatig naar Rotterdam om samen met DJ Rob back-to-back op te mogen treden.</p>
<p>Het nieuws van zijn succes verspreidde zich eveneens snel over de grens. Rob – en zijn voormalige buurman – MC JOE werd een van de beroemdste Nederlandse House Acts ooit.</p>

DJ Rob

<p>Als Lucien in de booth staat spat de energie er vanaf, en dat al sinds begin jaren 90. Als geestelijk vader van de uber-classic Quadraponia zette hij zichzelf op de kaart als producer en tot de dag van vandaag produceert Lucien het ene juweeltje na de andere.</p>
<p>Hoewel Lucien geen onbekende is op de Wooferland line-ups stond hij nog nooit op Winter Wooferland. Wel nu, 16.2.2019 gaat daar verandering in komen, dan komt Lucien de grote zaal plat draaien en we zullen zien we er daarna nog op zijn benen kan staan op de dansvloer.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: left;"><strong>Biografie (English)</strong></h3>
<p style="text-align: left;">Around 2000 Richard the Mildt&#8217;s career as a dj developed at an accelerated rate, which has lead to the fact that this uncrowned king of hardstyle is now to be rated among the most popular dj&#8217;s in the Netherlands. In 2003 Luna came fourth in the Top 100 of best dj&#8217;s in the world during the Dutch Dance Awards, overtaking big shots like Carl Cox, Dave Clarke and Sven Väth. A year later he even moved to the second place.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">This shows that Richard made the most of his talents and reached the top in no time. &#8220;It was quite bizarre to end second in the list behind Tiësto and the ultimate prove that I was on the right track.&#8221;Luna was born in Den Haag and at the age of 3 moved to Sassenheim where he spent the first 21 years of his life, and currently lives in Den Haag. Shortly before the turn of the millennium he came in contact with Q-dance, the world&#8217;s leading dance-organisation for the harder styles of dance. Q-dance offered Luna an opportunity to play to the masses at events including Qlubtempo, Qlimax, HouseQlassics and Mysteryland.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">One time, when his fellow dj Pavo was unable to spin, Richard just picked up the phone and called to ask whether he could perhaps stand in for him. Q-dance had already heard a very promising demo of Luna and therefore let him fill in the vacancy left by Pavo at The 1991/1992 Golden Edition. &#8216;I like working with a quality organisation as Q-dance, although I do want to stress that I&#8217;m an independent dj and that I spin wherever I&#8217;m asked to spin&#8217;, Lunaexplains.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">After some very successful performances at events like Houseqlassics, Qlubtempo, Mysteryland, Qlimax, etc. It soon became clear that Luna is an up-and-coming star, which is due to his unique talent to combine his impeccable track selection, his excellent technique, such as backspinning and scratching, and his energy and enthusiasm behind the turntables. It was as early as the mid-nineties that the music lover Luna acquired a passion for hardcore and oldschool, which explains why he is later to become one of the icons of hardstyle.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">As a rave fanatic and a devotee of harddance, Luna to buy himself two turntables and to master the art of dj-ing back in 1994. &#8216;Hardcore and oldschool are both loves that will never rust and I decided to play those styles more often in the future.&#8217;Some highlights include superb performances at Qlimax, Sensation Black, and Shockers, where he had to fill the gap between techno-stars Speedy J and DJ Rush and truly rocked the house all night with a combination of Hardstyle and Techno.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Lately Luna explores his deep passion for techno – and hardtechno in particulair – with blistering sets at Rotterdam&#8217;s Nighttown where he blew off the roof completely. &#8216;I just hate that typical Dutch way of thinking that now that I&#8217;m labelled a hardstyle-dj should keep away from other styles. That&#8217;s why I&#8217;m not afraid to just sometimes spin a popular techno or hardtrance-track. But I absolutely do love to spin loud and bangin&#8217; techno for a few hours as well&#8217;, Luna explains.Now that Richard has established himself as a DJ he spends more and more time in the studio alone or with his partners Trilok and Chiren, who as a threesome go by the name of DHHD. Together they produce tracks for StraightOn Recordings, a label which is co-owned by Luna himself and his friends dj Pila &amp; The scientist. They started up the label in 2003. Richard has released several successful tracks, including &#8216;So Many More&#8217;/The Anthem, &#8216;We Control The Sound&#8217;/&#8217;Hear Me Now&#8217;, &#8216;Rush&#8217;/&#8217;Funky Shit&#8217;, and &#8216;The shockers Theme In Control&#8217;, which were released on Id&amp;T ? Q-Dance records and StraightOn Recordings.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Besides producing tracks he co-produced and mixed the mix-albums such as &#8216;Qlimax&#8217;, &#8216;X-qlusive Holland, &#8216;X-qlusive Luna&#8217; and &#8216; Hardbass&#8217;. &#8216;It is my ambition to expand my label, to concentrate on my international career and to further establish my reputation as both a DJ and a producer&#8217;.In addition of the succesful X-Qlusive Luna party Luna reached an absolute milestone doing a Luna One Man Show in the massive Geldredome stadium Arnhem in 2005. He was the second dance-artist after Tiësto who played in such a huge arena. And especially for this occasion he produced the pounding themesong &#8216;Now&#8217;s The Time&#8217;. That year Luna also did Sensation Black for the third time and played major events like DefQon, Mysteryland, In Qontrol and Impulz. A main part of the summerseaon he spent abroad performing in countries like Greece, Poland, Spain, Germany, Italy, South-Africa, Australia and Estland.At the end of 2006 Luna stopped with StraightOn Recordings. It was time for a change.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">In 2008 he started the label Minus Is More. The goal is to bring a different sound. Besides his own productions, new talent also gets the chance to release their tracks. The label has grown to be one of the main players in the scene. In the near future the planning is to do worldwide label tour. So keep your eyes open.</p>


Luna

<p>Although dj Gizmo &#8211; Ferry Salee &#8211; is in the business for over 25 years now, it seems like a lifetime ago when he travelled to gigs by train with a heavy plastic box packed with vinyl. Gizmo nowadays is a A-list and immensly experienced dj who travelled around the world many times &#8211; from Australia to USA &#8211; and played all the major events in Holland. </p>
<p>In 1995 already he was voted as Best International DJ in Switserland and instead of disappearing into a vacuum like so many others, he maintained his status as a top-dj in the following ten years. Gizmo has become the almost perfect dj combining unbelievable technical skills, a superb musictaste and the ability to cause mayhem on any dancefloor.</p>
<p>Born on 3 June 1965 in The Hague Ferry Salee started a drive-in show at the incredibly young age of 12, spinning disco, soul and funk for hockey- and soccer-societies. Soon after he got offered a job at the rollerdisco in Scheveningen around 1982, and since than he knew that music was his ultimate mission. Needless to mention that Ferry was so busy with dj-ing, that he didnt find time and motivation to finish college. When he joined a mix-contest for a Dutch radiostation he finished 4th after other future heroes like Jean, Michel de Hey and Erick E. Ferry was a booked quite often in that period, but when he discoverd housemusic in 1989 his carreer became more and more serious. He was invited to play BCM in Mallorca and even played Ibiza with Carl Cox. In Holland he often played at the Bios in Amsterdam together with Alex van Oosterom and at the Bluetiek Inn in Rotterdam together with Paul Elstak and Peter Slaghuis.</p>
<p>The early nineties not only were a turningpoint in his carreer, they also marked his big breakthrough a dj. Around 1992 saw the birth of a new dancestyle called hardcore or gabber and Gizmo was one of the first artists playing this energetic and intense music. He weekly shared the stage with dj Rob and Paul Elstak in the legendary temple Parkzicht in Rotterdam. </p>
<p>Gizmo became a sort of resident at the memorable Rave The City events in his hometown, where he often was accompanied in the dj-booth by another legend from The Hague: Darkraver. After having joined forces with the famous Dreamteam alongside with Dano, Buzz Fuzz and The Prophet his carreer launched off like a rocket and Gizmo became one of Hollands most popular djs. He played major event like Mystery Land, Thunderdome, Hellraiser, A Nightmare In Rotterdam, etc. In the roaring nineties Gizmo did a long list of mix-albums like House Party, Hellraiser, Eathquake, Thunderdome, countless remixes and productions for labels such as Babyboom, Dwarf, Rave Records, Ruff Beats and Gizmania-X and Plain House.</p>
<p>In the late nineties and beginning of the new millenium saw Gizmo becoming a leading dj in the hardstylescene. However he soon devolped an own style combining hardstyle, jumpstyle old school, early rave and hardore. The nine cd-releases in the series Harder Mach have been a huge success and represent Gizmos open-minded view on the harder dancestyles. Another major success in his endless c.v. is the weekly radio show called Hardhouse Generation at Fresh FM with Norman, the Darkraver, Cor the Splinter &amp; Bass D every Wednesdayevening. </p>
<p>The year 2006 will add a new chapter to the never ending Gizmo-story, since he started the new label Monkey Face with Buzz Fuzz. After the record Da Break Of Dawn on Tomb Records and the co-production Power To Da People with friend Norman, there are a bunch of new track in the pipeline with Showtek, Symastic, Native, The Vodka Brothers and again Norman.</p>

<p>His real name is Jeff Porter aka DJ Abraxas. He together with Jeroen Flamman were the people behind the Party Animals and Fierce Ruling Diva. Once they had a floating club in Amsterdam called Subtopia were the real house music was played.</p>

<p>Brian S, begonnen met draaien in 1995 onder andere de iT, en daarna zo&#8217; beetje elke hotspot in NL. Staat bekend om zijn groovy stijl en zijn interactie met zijn publiek. Alleen al gezien zijn trackrecord hoog tijd dat hij 25 augustus op Wooferland festival 2018 staat.</p>

<p>Toen in de late jaren tachtig de housemuziek opkwam, raakte hij in de ban van deze muziekstijl. In 1990 werd Albers presentator van het radioprogramma &#8216;For those who like to groove voor de AVRO. Het was het eerste Nederlandse houseprogramma op de radio. In 1992 stopte het programma echter toen Albers door de AVRO werd ontslagen. Hij besloot daarna zelf als houseproducer te beginnen.</p>
<p>In 1993 had Albers zijn eerste hit met nummer Plastic Dreams onder zijn alter ego Jaydee. Het nummer dat opvalt vanwege het Hammondorgel werd een internationale househit. Het nummer werd daarna nog enkele malen in speciale remixes opnieuw uitgebracht. Het werd uiteindelijk ruim 2 miljoen maal verkocht. In 1994 kreeg hij nog een hit met &#8216;Music is so special. Ook bracht hij onder tal van andere namen houseplaten uit. Enkelen daarvan zijn Graylock, Daydream en Karnak. In 2000 bracht hij een album uit van Jaydee. Op House nation stonden de bekende singles en ook wat nieuw werk.</p>
<p>In 1996 startte hij samen met producers Michel Rozenbroek en Dieter Kranenburg het project The Sunclub. Daarmee hadden ze in 1997 een grote hit met Fiesta (de los Tambolireros). Er volgt een album en nog een kleinere hit met Singleminded people (dat van origine een B-Kant is van Plastic Dreams).</p>
<p>In 1999/2000 was The Sunclub weer terug met het album Splash met nummers als Splash, Movin on en Bandoneon. </p>
<p>Daarna leek The Sunclub uitgespeeld. Maar een mashup van hun hit Fiesta en het nummer Summer jam (een 2 stepplaat van The Underdog Project uit 2000) werd in de zomer van 2003 een grote hit. Het nummer stond negen weken op de eerste plek en is de best verkochte single van dat jaar. Daarna verschenen er nog enkele hits als Boom boom, Jump en weer een nieuwe versie van Fiesta.</p>

<p>Ton T.B., born in Den Bosch area (the Netherlands) as Ton van Empel, has been around for quiet some time now. He’s probably best known for a number of massive club hits, like ‘Sunset On Ibiza’, ‘Air Traffic’ and of course the 1997 all time classic ‘Greece 2000’. As Ton T.B., he was signed to Tiësto’s Black Hole label for years, delivering some memorable tracks like “Angel Eyes’, Smiling People, ‘Electronic Malfunction’ and another Tiësto fav,‘Dream Machine’. </p>
<p>Over the years, Ton’s tracks have been licensed to prestigious international labels like Hooj Choons, Xtravaganza, VC Recordings and Vandit Records. Ton T.B is not just a producer. He is also critically acclaimed as a deejay for a very long time, with performances on major events like Dance Valley, Trance Energy, Mysteryland and Tomorrowland, just to name a few. </p>
<p>Ton also rocked established clubs as Space Miami, MOS London, Tangled Manchester, Haoman 17 Jerusalem and Privilege Ibiza and many more….And now it’s 2019, and still going strong.</p>

<p>DJ Miss Monica was born on the 12th of March 1971 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands . Growing up in the biggest harbour city of the world, she started to go out in the house-scene in 1989 and discovered something that would change her life&#8230; HOUSE-MUSIC!!! She started DJ-ing in 1992. Thanks to her musical talent, she learned very fast. In 1993 she was asked to become a resident DJ at &#8220;NIGHTTOWN&#8221; (one of the finest dance clubs in the Netherlands at that time, cap. 2000). In 1994 &#8211; 1998 she got her own club-night, every first Saturday of the month at NIGHTTOWN, which was a huge success and she made the party people go crazy !!! She was asked to perform at different clubs and parties all over the Netherlands and her DJ-career was getting bigger and bigger. In 1996 she decided to stop working as a medical analist at a hospital laboratory, to become a professional DJ.</p>
<p>In 1996 she became one of the most popular DJ&#8217;s in the Netherlands (3 &#8211; 5 performances a week), thanks to her excellent DJ performances (with very fine mixing skills !!) and her mixed compilation CD&#8217;s (Check &#8220;DISCOGRAPHY&#8221; for more details). She performed at the most respected clubs in the Netherlands like: Nighttown, Roxy. It, Waakzaamheid, ASTA, Mazzo, Maastheater, Escape, Paard, etc and the popular parties like M.T.C., Lunapark, Beachpop, MAW parties, Chesterfield party, Veronica&#8217;s Mega Music Dance Experience (20.000 people), Dance Valley (25.000 people) and Extrema (parties and festivals). At the Fast Forward Dance Parade 1998 (300.000 people), her truck drew all the attention. She also performed for radio shows such as, Radio 538 &#8220;van Diepen&#8217;s Dance Department&#8221; , Radio Veronica and local radio shows.</p>
<p>As a result of her success in the Netherlands she got international recognition and has performed at clubs and parties all over the world like: France (Including performances at Club REX and Club QUEEN in Paris), Ibiza (Pacha), Belgium (Café D&#8217;anvers), Switserland (MAD), Turkey (Club 2019), Israël (Haoman17), Spain, Mallorca, Curaçao (Mambo Beach), Germany and so on.</p>
<p>Thank to her excellent performances and skills, she has spinned the wheels with national and international DJ&#8217;s such as : Ronald Molendijk, Mark van Dale, DJ Jean, Michel de Hey, DJ Remy, Erick E, 100% Isis, Miss Djax, Laurant Garnier, Mr. C, DJ Djulz, Paul van Dijk, Jack de Marseille, Sander Kleinenberg, Eddy de Clercq (EDC), etc, etc.</p>
<p>In 1997 &#8211; 1998 she got a second resident club-night at NIGHTTOWN, on Wednesday called: &#8220;FRESH UP&#8221;. Funky grooves and solid sounds to enjoy the party people. The party people responded enthousiasticly to &#8220;FRESH UP&#8221;.</p>
<p>In July 1998 the unexpected happened. She became very ill with Mononucleosis, and even worse, she was diagnosed CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome). Because of this very serious illness she was not able to perform as a DJ for 5 years. In July 2003 she miraculously recovered from CFS and can live a normal life again.</p>
<p>Miss Monica started her comebacktour in February 2004. The kick off was at the award winning club (BEST CLUB) Club Las Palmas in Rotterdam. All other respected clubs/parties followed : ASTA in Den Haag, Mainstage (Chemistry) in Amsterdam, Global Kitchen by FCA Music at Winkel van Sinkel in Utrecht, De Rechter in Eindhoven and many more. In the summer of 2004 she also performed successfully at Extrema Outdoor Festival and Dance Valley Festival. (Check &#8220;PHOTOBOOK&#8221; for all pictures). Allready she has resident clubnights at Club Las Palmas in Rotterdam (1 performance/month) and ASTA in Den Haag (1 performance/month) and De Rechter in Eindhoven (1 performace/2months)</p>
<p>DJ Miss Monica doesn&#8217;t limit herself to one style of music!!! Her style is from: club / tech / groovy / tribal / latino / pumping / energetic house sounds to : funky / rhythmic / energetic / pumping techno sounds. Because when she is there, the party is there!!! It&#8217;s fascinating to see DJ Miss Monica behind the decks and to feel the energy, when listening to her. Her DJ-sets are always full-filling for the party people, and 300% ENTERTAINMENT!!!</p>
<p>Producing will be a future goal, already having studio equipment in 1998.</p>

<p>In 1991 begon zijn muzikale interesse vorm te krijgen. In de coffeeshop waar hij destijds werkte kreeg hij op eigen verzoek twee Technics draaitafels zodat hij tijdens de verkoop van de nodige genotmiddelen de mogelijkheid had om de rest van de dag wat platen aan elkaar te mixen.</p>
<p>De underground dance scene was in Amsterdam springlevend en er waren genoeg locaties om ieder weekend ergens anders een geweldig feest bij te wonen. De toenmalige feesten waren altijd weer voorzien van thema, immer vernieuwend en uiteraard geheel in stijl gedecoreerd.</p>
<p>De legendarische Evlo feestjes in de AMP studio waren zijn eerste echte feestjes. Hij had daar een eigen goed geïsoleerde studioruimte ter beschikking gekregen waar zon vijftig man zwetend voor je DJ booth uit hun dak konden gaan, waanzinnig! Daar deden bijvoorbeeld Tom Harding, Billy Nasty en MC Marxman ook hun intrede. </p>
<p>In die ruimtes werd je getrakteerd op psychedelische filmpjes, vertoond op oude projectoren en konden gezien worden als de voorlopers van de nu geavanceerde en gelikte VJ producties, helemaal goed. Destijds draaide alles letterlijk om het draaien van plaatjes, contacten leggen, zorgen dat je gehoord werd en het verspreiden van je eigen tapes. Dus van 5 nachten Royal Kabul (met toen nog geoorloofde paaldanseressen), naar Radical Rehousing Singel 114; van de Silo naar Mazzo; van Mazzo naar Paradiso; van Paradiso naar de Stalker en van daar uit naar mijn uiteindelijke station, de Melkweg.</p>
<p>Ook op Wooferland is JP geen onbekende en heeft al vaak op de line-up gestaan. Op 10 februari staat hij dan ook weer op de winter editie in Paradiso.</p>


Rossi

<p>Spider Willem, wie kent hem niet. Begonnen in Amsterdam met onvergetelijke energieke sets op vuigste feesten in o.a. De Silo, Innercity en natuurlijk de Fun Factory waar hij eigenhandig nieuwe energie stak in de dancescene.</p>
<p>Met zijn Mushroom parties bereikte Willem een ware cultstatus binnen de scene, evenals zijn birthday parties die hij zo vaak gaf dat iedereen zich afvroeg hoe vaak iemand per jaar jarig kon zijn. </p>
<p>Willem is niet bepaald een onbekende op line-ups van Wooferland en weet ook de Woofer altijd mee te nemen met zijn pompende sets. Op 10 februari 2018 staat Willem dan ook, voor inmiddels de tweede keer, op Winter Wooferland in Paradiso.</p>

<p>Esther Dune&#8217;s sound is characterised by the legacy of techno and (acid) house music. Growing up in The Netherlands shaped Esther&#8217;s music as she absorbed the rich Dutch scene of the time.</p>
<p>Being praised for her excellent high-end precision mixing skills Esther blends styles together flawlessly, bringing quality &amp; content to any dancefloor. From raw electro to minimal, groovy Detroit techno, hard techno &amp; proper acid techno. She creates a natural flow traveling effortlessly through all the decades of electronic music like time doesn&#8217;t exist.</p>
<p>She also enjoys playing deeper styles like Chicago house, dub techno, obscure acid &amp; (downtempo) EBM and feels right at home starting her DJ&#8217;s sets from scratch setting the mood and building to where the dancefloor needs to be.</p>
<p>Dune has music out, also under her &#8216;Esther Duijn&#8217; alias, on labels like Gegen Records, Deestricted, Expel Your Demons, Occultists, Adroit Recordings &amp; Noise Manifesto. New releases are in the pipeline tba.</p>
<p>This has not gone unnoticed by the scene, earning her a residential DJ slot at the mighty Tresor, Gegen Berlin &amp; Intergalactic FM.<br />
Esther also made (regular) appearances at Pornceptual, De School, Unter NYC, Paradigm, Freerotation Festival, Elevator Shanghai, Panorama Bar to name a few. In 2017 she was asked by Resident Advisor to do a tour in Australia together with Skatebård.</p>
<p>Esther has 9 streams out on HÖR Berlin &amp; 4 on Intergalactic FM with more to come.</p>

<p>Als één van Nederlands bekendste vrouwelijke DJ’s heeft Natarcia zowel in de homo- als de heterozaken van de Reguliersdwarsstraat gedraaid.SurinameNatarcia Ommen is geboren in Suriname, precies op de dag dat haar ouders in het huwelijk traden. </p>
<p>Ze groeide op in Amsterdam, met de favoriete muziek van haar ouders: Soul en Surinaamse liedjes en muziek van Millie Jackson, Marvin Gay, Betty Wright en Lieve Hugo. In plaats van met poppen speelde ze met platen en dat zou ze tot op de dag van vandaag blijven doen.Het kon dan ook niet anders of Natarcia werd DJ, waar ze al op school mee begon. Ze schreef haar eigen teksten en begon met rappen en breakdance. Bovendien werd ze in 1988 ook nog danseres voor de houseband Fierce Ruling Diva. </p>
<p>Na dit een paar jaar gedaan te hebben kwam ze tot de conclusie dat haar voorliefde bij het mixen van vinyl lag en besloot ze fulltime DJ te worden. HavanaBegin jaren &#8217;90 begon Natarcia haar professionele DJ-carriere bij danscafé Havana in de Reguliersdwarsstraat, waar ze 8 jaar lang resident-DJ was op de woensdagavond. Ze draaide toen voornamelijk R&amp;B en Garage. In de Havana ging het puur om de (vernieuwende) muziek en om het dansen, waardoor het toendertijd de absolute the place to be was voor zowel homo&#8217;s als hetero&#8217;s. </p>
<p>Veel mooie heteromeisjes kwamen bijvoorbeeld naar de Havana omdat ze daar niet lastig gevallen werden. Natarcia was voor hen vaak een vertrouwd aanspreekpunt. RichterNatarcia zou echter niet alleen in de homozaken, maar ook in de bekende heteroclubs van de Reguliersdwarsstraat optreden: in Richter, waar een wat meer underground-sfeer heerste en waar ze ook optrad tijdens de geruchtmakende Wasteland-parties. Na de sluiting van Richter in 1996 draaide ze ook nog een aantal jaren in de Urban club Ministry.</p>
<p><strong>Veranderingen<br /></strong>Ondertussen trad DJ Natarcia ook nog met enige regelmaat op in gaycafe April en homodiscotheek Exit. Ongeveer een jaar nadat de Havana door de Groningse horeca-magnaat Sjoerd Kooistra was overgenomen stopte ze hier. De benadering werd steeds zakelijker en minder persoonlijk. Het ging ook steeds minder om de muziek en door dit alles kwam van het organiseren van eigen clubavonden eveneens weinig meer terecht.</p>


Natarcia

<p>DJ All Star Fresh (Guan Elmzoon) trad op aan de top van de internationale rap- en hiphopscene. Hij is verbonden aan verscheidene grote Amerikaanse artiesten, waaronder Public Enemy, Ice-T en Setsasonic. Hij draaide in de vele Amsterdamse toonaangevende clubs en festivals, zoals de IT, Escape, Panama, Paradiso, Wasteland, Dancevalley en won in 1988 de Nederlandse Mix Kampioenschappen en werd derde op het WK Mix.</p>
<p>Ook behaalde hij een tweede plaats op “The Battle of DJ&#8217;s” in New York. Ook is hij onder meer het voorprogramma geweest bij de concerten van Madonna in Nederland, met o.a. de clubhits “Back By Dope Demand” en “Must Bee The Music”.</p>
<p>Als oude rot in het vak brengt hij nog steeds wereldwijd Royal Freshness op vele dansvloeren, met DJ-sets, die variëren van old school dance-classics tot old- en new school hiphop en natuurlijk clubmuziek met een sexy twist, zoals Latin House, tribal, en urban tunes.</p>


Guan Elmzoon

<p>His love for music began at the age of five when he learned to play the piano. Cellies DJ-career began in 1984, playing disco, rap, funk, rare-grooves and new-wave in clubs all over Holland, Germany and Spain. </p>
<p>In 89 he returned to Amsterdam and started working in club Mazzo as floor-manager/programmer [booking bands and DJs], and also dj-ing himself. Here he started organizing the popular Saturday-nights called Unity which became a huge success. After a few years he decided to team up with the London based Sex Love And Motion and brought Londons popular S.L.A.M nights to Amsterdam at Mazzo. </p>
<p>August 2000 was the last of these weekly events and from September 2000 on Cellie has begun a new venture named Off The Record; a new concept to freshen up the Amsterdam nightlive. These nights will be co-hosted by DJs Steve Rachmad, Estoe &amp; Carlijn. Besides playing in Mazzo Cellie plays all over the world, England, Italy, France, Norway, Finland, Portugal, USA, South-Africa and China are regulary visited by this well travelled DJ. </p>
<p>Cellie also plays some of Hollands biggest festivals such as New Frontier and Dancevalley often in front of crowds as big as 10,000 plus. His music can be described as Hypnotic.Global.House -ranging from break-beats and techhouse edging towards progressive and techno- always uplifting, pumping &amp; groovy.</p>

<p>Jorg, de vaste bezoekers van de Mazzo club weten het nog wel, heerlijke sets draait deze man. Onlangs stond ie nog op Thuishaven tijdens Wooferland vs The Beginning. Op 16.2.2019 komt ie voor jullie knallen op Winter Wooferland in Paradiso!</p>

<p>De extravagante party&#8217;s, de ludieke thema&#8217;s en de unieke techno-sound van de Herr Zimmerman-feesten zijn een begrip in de Nederlandse Dance scène. Met hun razend populaire feesten timmeren TanzMan &amp; Fraulein Z van Herr Zimmerman al zo&#8217;n 10 jaar aan een succesvolle reputatie. Ze groeiden uit van een kleine obscure underground club tot volwassen party-productiehuis én techno platenlabel met inmiddels 22 tracks op het rekwest.</p>

<p>Een producer en dj met vele gezichten. Niet in de laatste plaats als TFX, of lid van Atlanic Ocean van de internationale klapper Waterfall. Nee, dit keer draagt Rene de pet van Dave Leatherman, het alias waar hij in het genre disco/nu-disco hoge ogen gooit in de online charts.</p>
<p>31 augustus 2019 kan je Dave Leatherman zien shinen op de nieuwe disco en funk area. En wedden dat ie ook jou aan het dansen krijgt tot het einde!!</p>

Armed with the latest cutting edge music, he has rocked the cream of the world´s clubs including Pacha New York, SXSW Austin, Rise Boston, Ministry of Sound London , Club d&#8217;Anvers Belgium, Blue Marlin Ibiza and more. Closer to home, he is resident DJ and promoter of Floorplay, a monthly night that’s been going strong for over 11 years at the legendary Club NL in Amsterdam. </p>
<p>As a producer he has released on renowned labels such as San Francisco´s Loöq Records, Omid 16B´s Sexonwax label, NYC&#8217;s seminal Nervous Records, UK&#8217;s Baroque Recordings and Ray Okpara´s AMA records. He has also signed tracks to Under No Illusion Recordings and Slovakia’s Seta Recordings, Paolo Martini´s Polar Noise Records from Italy and Horatio’s Natural Rhythm recordings out of Romania. <p>There are few members of Amsterdam&#8217;s bustling electronic music scene that can boast the rich and diverse history of Antonio Abbo, perhaps more familiarly known by his stage persona; MC Complicated. One thing that is for certain, is that none comes close to matching his sheer level of enthusiasm and presence, be it on stage, in the studio or on the dance floor. </p>
<p>With so many years in the music industry, this seasoned percussionist and MC remains one of the most colourful and inspiring personalities of Amsterdam&#8217;s nightlife, in always giving a hundred and twenty percent, he never fails to electrify and bring a heartening interaction with the crowd. With rhythm running through every vein, young Abbo never doubted his calling. </p>
<p>By the age of nine he was already drumming in a brass band, before metamorphising into his first punk outfit, the Willibrordz at aged sixteen. His next (rock!) band; Graduate Love, was to be pick-up by Holland&#8217;s one and only &#8216;rock &#8216;n roll junkie&#8217; Herman Brood, who personally requested them as a support act for his national tour. A few years later, Abbo got noticed by blues legend Ronald Abrahams, who invited him to tour the world with the infamous Ice Cold Band. &#8220;That man taught me a lot about music and life, truly a unique character.&#8221;</p>
<p>On a nationwide tour of Ireland and the UK with Ronald Abrahams in the early nineties, Abbo first stumbled upon the sound that would come to define the proceeding decades of his musical career. Upon entering a Northern acid house club, one Friday and Sunday afternoon, he realised that this was &#8220;it&#8221; for him; thumping beats, flickering strobo&#8217;s and steaming smoke machines, Abbo&#8217;s passion for dance music was ignited. After the birth of his son, Abbo focused solely on family life, but soon he felt the musical itch again. </p>
<p>He got back into the game by playing percussion for Dutch soapie and singer Tim Immers, who had several top 40 hits in the Netherlands. Abbo&#8217;s big break came as the Percussionist and MC for The Sunclub, who topped the charts with Fiesta all throughout the summer of 1997. The single reached no. 1 in nineteen countries, and was undoubtedly one of the biggest club hits of the late nineties. Touring throughout the world non-stop for two years and winning several international awards, Abbo was living the life of a rockstar.</p>
<p>A string of other successful hits followed: Single Minded People, Splash, Wetsuit, Moving On, Bandoneon and Summer Jam (also no. 1), as well as a support act for Ricky Martin. However, after seven successful years, Abbo longed for new challenges, so he decided to quit with The Sunclub and take a long sabbatical, and to remerge on the scene in recent years. <p>Als één van de aanstichters van Wooferland en oud-medewerker van de fameuze platenwinkel Outland Records kun je een setje classics wel aan deze geooren Amsterdammer overlaten.</p>
<p>Op 10 februari vind je hem echter in de kelder van Paradiso met een zoals wij dat noemen &#8220;nieuwe muziek&#8221;</p>

<p>De man die eigenlijk geen introductie meer nodig heeft. Pavo stond al eerder op Wooferland maar we vonden het weer ruimschoots tijd om hem weer te vragen voor Wooferland 2019.</p>

<p>At the moment, Paul van der Vooren is one of the most popular and most frequently booked DJs in Holland. Born in Haarlem (the Netherlands), Pavo has already spent half a lifetime behind the turntables and has now reached the top, at which he will probably remain for a while to come. Much of his success is due to the fact that he&#8217;s been working in the studio(dreamland/code red studio) and has released several well-received mix albums. ‘ I play music straight from the heart. </p>
<p>It&#8217;s incredible that everything is going so well, I never expected the harder sounds to become so popular&#8217;, he explains. Smashing performances at parties such as &#8220;Multigroove&#8221; and &#8220;No Bullshit&#8221; had turned Pavo into a leading light in the western part of Netherlands a long time before. Back then I already experimented with Techno and Hardtrance and a while later also with jumps and hardcore , he explains. With the Oldschool revival in the late nineties, the golden oldies were played so often that the records just wore out, which was when Pavo wanted to broaden his musical horizon. Q-dance asked me to be a resident for the Qlubtempo gigs. </p>
<p>I started playing records by Technoboy, Tracid Traxx and Derb more and more often&#8217;, he adds. In a relatively short period of time the 32 year old Pavo has released several mind-blowing mix compilations. He is still proud of the &#8220;HouseQlassics&#8221; CD he composed together with DJ Dana. Pavo and Dana also worked together on the double CD &#8220;Qlimax&#8221;, with each taking care of one part. </p>
<p>As a solo artist Pavo has released his first mix CD on the Qlimax label and has recently released his second mix album called &#8220;Hardstyle Is My Style&#8221;, with the third one soon to follow. As a producer, he has also been keeping himself rather busy by co-producing with DJ The Prophet under the pseudonym Hardheadz (&#8220;Wreck This Plaze&#8221;, &#8220;Hardhouz Generation&#8221;, &#8220;Showtime&#8221;, &#8220;In Yer Phaze&#8221; &#8211; all released on the Scantraxx label) and with DJ Zany for Fusion (&#8220;Here We Go&#8221;, &#8220;Porn&#8221;, &#8220;Shutterspeed&#8221;, &#8220;Big Fat Bass&#8221;, &#8220;Elektronik&#8221;, &#8220;Tekno&#8221; and his newest releases &#8220;Communicate&#8221; and &#8220;Raven&#8221;).</p>
<p>Lately Pavo has been performing at all the top partyies and he has been touring the country to introduce his distinctive sound to a wider audience. Not only as a DJ, but also as a producer Pavo is doing very well. He is someone who doesn&#8217;t want to dwell on the past, but who likes to look forward. He has nothing but fond memories of the Oldschool and Hardcore era, but he finds today&#8217;s scene just as much fun and just as exciting. Right now I&#8217;m trying to mix the nowaday-sounds with old sounds, Hardtrance and even with Techno. </p>
<p>My taste in music just happens to be very broad and by combining different styles, mixing remains a challenge for me.</p>

<p>Oh yes, Harry Lemon op Wooferland! De uber-classics die deze man in de jaren 90 heeft gemaakt zorgt nog steeds voor extatische taferelen op dansvloeren over de hele wereld. Het is zo&#8217;n track die precies belichaamt waar het ons in de jaren 90 al om te doen was, knallen met hele dikke acid!</p>

<p><b>Danny Rampling</b> is an English house music DJ and is widely credited as one of the original founders of the UK&#8217;s rave/club scene.<sup id="cite_ref-2" class="reference"></sup></p>
<p>His long career began in the early 1980s playing hip-hop, soul and funk around numerous bars and clubs in London. Rampling was the first winner of the No 1 DJ in the World Award by <i>DJ Magazine</i> in 1991 and is a three-time DJ Awards recipient. He has reportedly sold over 1 million compilation albums.</p>
<p>During a holiday in Ibiza in 1987, Rampling, along with fellow DJs Paul Oakenfold, Nicky Holloway and Johnny Walker, attended Amnesia, a then open air nightclub in San Rafael. At the club the group were introduced to the unique eclectic style of DJ Alfredo, playing, among other genres, the new house music that had been exported from the USA. The group also discovered the music&#8217;s powerful combination with the drug Ecstasy (MDMA) that reduced inhibitions and created a sense of oneness on the dance floor.</p>
<p>Upon his return to England, Rampling, along with his then wife, Jenni,<sup id="cite_ref-auto_4-0" class="reference"></sup><sup id="cite_ref-5" class="reference"></sup><sup id="cite_ref-6" class="reference"></sup> attempted to recreate the Ibiza experience by promoting what is regarded as the UK&#8217;s first Balearic rave club, Shoom ran for three years, starting out at a gym in Southwark, London. It was a launching point for acid house culture,<sup id="cite_ref-15" class="reference"></sup> while contributing to worldwide dance culture.<sup id="cite_ref-16" class="reference"></sup></p>
<p>Danny &#8216;Happy&#8217; Rampling played for the original pirate Kiss (UK radio station) with the main Saturday night slot from 7 until 9 pm in the early nineties, setting many people up for a great night out with the &#8220;Love Groove Dance Party&#8221;. He, along with others such as Judge Jules, were poached by BBC Radio 1.</p>
<p>In the following years, Rampling continued his career in music as a DJ and producer, while forming a band, The Millionaire Hippies. In November 1994 he joined the BBC, presenting the &#8220;Love Groove Dance Party&#8221; on BBC Radio 1 until March 2002, making it the second longest running dance music show in radio after Pete Tong&#8217;s &#8220;Essential Selection&#8221;.</p>
<p>The mid-1990s also saw Rampling&#8217;s DJing style diversify. While still playing house and garage sets, Rampling also began to headline at harder, trancier parties, e.g. &#8216;South&#8217;, at The Zap Club, in Brighton. Rampling himself referred to his newer style as &#8216;Euro&#8217;, and at this time showcased new Euro tracks, during the final thirty-minute weekly mix of his Radio 1 Show. Additionally, Rampling&#8217;s Double CD Love Groove Dance Mix featured house and garage on the first CD, and &#8216;Euro&#8217; on the second.</p>

<p><b>Johan Gielen </b>is een in België geboren dj en trance-producer.</p>
<p>In 1981 verhuisde Gielen op twaalfjarige leeftijd van België naar het in Noord-Brabant gelegen Reusel. Een paar jaar later begon hij zich als dj te ontwikkelen en werd resident dj van de Belgische club <i>Dockside</i>. Hij organiseerde tevens grote feesten.</p>
<p>Toen halverwege de jaren &#8217;90 de stijl trance opkwam, ging ook Gielen hierin mee. Zijn populariteit nam toe, onder meer in Japan waar hij wekelijks in een grote club draaide. Naast het draaien ging hij zich op het produceren van muziek toeleggen. Zo remi<a title="Remix" href="https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remix">xte</a> hij singles voor andere dj&#8217;s en produceerde hij eigen werk. Het bekendst werd Gielen met zijn samenwerkingen met de Belgische dj Svenson. Met hem maakte hij verschillende platen, remixen en deed hij optredens, zoals op Trance Energy. Het tweetal werkte ook samen als Summer Madness met DJ Jean. Hiermee maakten ze de dancehits <i>Summer Power</i> (1998) en <i>Planet Rio</i> (1999). De laatste jaren is hij echter weer solo actief.</p>

<p>DJ and producer from Stockholm, Sweden.<br />
Joel Mull&#8217;s career spans over three decades. With a background studying classical music, singing in choirs and playing in bands, Joel found electronic music at a young age as a source of freedom. His first experience came from DJ’ing in the chill-out areas of rave parties in his native Stockholm during the early 90’s.</p>
<p>With his roots from Germany, Hamburg, he moved to the city in 1994, and worked as a resident DJ for 3 years at one of the biggest techno clubs in Germany, Unit Club. This was an important period for him and as a DJ; It taught him how to control the energy of the night on the dance floor, from warm up sets to 10h marathon sets.</p>
<p>With releases on music labels worldwide along with Cari Lekebusch, Robert Leiner, Adam Beyer and Jesper Dahlbäck he counts to the first wave of Swedish techno producer who became known around the world as the &#8220;Swedish techno sound&#8221;.<br />
He has produced over 100 releases and under various names such as Icarus, Gotzkowsky and most recent under his alias Damm.<br />
He often refers to himself and his craft as a sound architect, and if you’ve ever experienced his club sets, you’ll understand why.<br />
Under his ambient and electronica alias Damm, Joel revives one of his earliest aliases and expands upon this discipline even further.</p>

<p>Ken Ishii is een Japanse techno-dj en producer, en is woonachtig in Tokio. Hij is ook bekend onder de pseudoniemen Rising Sun, Flare, FLR, UTU en Yoga.</p>

<p>De uit Rotterdam afkomstige Jeroen Verheij groeide op als zoon van een jazzmuzikant. Het muziek maken valt hem als kind tegen tot hij op een computerbeurs ontdekt hoe hij op een Amiga muziek kan maken. Hij begon in 1990 met produceren. Bij platenhandel Midtown lukt het hem om tracks uitgebracht te krijgen. Paul Elstak en Peter Slaghuis horen wel wat in de track <i>Artificial Fantasy</i>. Onder de naam Meng Syndicate maakte vanaf dat moment meer tracks, waarvan <i>Sonar System</i> het goed deed in clubs. <sup id="cite_ref-:0_1-0" class="reference"></sup>Ook maakte hij deel uit van het project Problem House waarin Speedy J en Peter Slaghuis participeerden. Voor de kost had hij allerlei baantjes zoals het plukken van tomaten. <sup id="cite_ref-2" class="reference"></sup>In 1993 werd hij ontdekt door Michel de Hey. Die bood hem een contract aan op zijn label. Vervolgens verschenen singles als <i>Mengs theme</i> (1993) van Point Blank en <i>Timeless Altitude</i> (1994) van Secret Cinema.</p>
<p>Zijn eerste kleine hitje volgde begin 1995 met het nummer <i>Watch Me Now</i> onder de naam Grooveyard. Twee jaar later overtrof hij dit ruimschoots met het nummer <i>Mary Go Wild</i> dat tot in de top 15 kwam. Dit nummer werd melodieuzer gemaakt met als doel om vrouwen meer te laten dansen op techno. Naar het nummer wordt later ook een geschiedenisboek over dancemuziek genoemd. <sup id="cite_ref-:0_1-1" class="reference"></sup>Later maakte hij ook enkele malen het themanummer voor de Fast Forward Dance Parade samen met Michel de Hey. Vooral het nummer <i>Let The Music Be Your Guide</i>, voor de editie in 2000, deed het erg goed.</p>
<p>In 2001 bracht hij met <i>White Men Can&#8217;t Funk</i> zijn eerste album uit. Daarna hield hij zich een periode bezig met het maken van filmmuziek. Later verschenen de albums <i>Skunk &amp; Espresso</i> (2006) en <i>Minerals</i> (2011). Ook richtte hij het label Gem Records op. In 2019 maakte hij een remix van <i>Anasthasia</i> van T99.</p>
<p>Zijn show <i>Gem FM</i> is elke zondagnacht tussen 02:00 en 03:00 uur te beluisteren op radiozender SLAM!.</p>


Secret Cinema

<p>Kraak &amp; Smaak is een Nederlands trio uit Leiden bestaande uit Mark Kneppers, Oscar de Jong en Wim Plug. Ze maken sinds 2003 muziek in de genres electronica, disco, house en funk, en hebben tot nu toe vijf albums uitgebracht. Als <a title="Diskjockey" href="https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diskjockey">dj</a> en live act dragen ze bij aan nationale en internationale muziekfestivals. Ze hebben in de loop der tijd getoerd in Europa, Australië en de Verenigde Staten. De naam wordt in het Engels vaak uitgesproken als <i>Crack and smack</i>. Bij het begin van Kraak &amp; Smaak was met een dergelijke uitspraak en de daarbij behorende associaties geen rekening gehouden.</p>

<p>Kijk, dit zijn de boekingen waar we vrolijk van worden. Promo stond al een keer op Wooferland, maar, we vonden het wel weer tijd, Laat Promo dat nou zelf ook vinden, dus hij staat op Wooferland 2020!</p>
<p><strong>Biografie</strong><br />DJ Promo is rond 1992 begonnen als dj. Toen draaide hij nog op kleinere gabberfeesten en omdat hij geen vaste plek had, organiseerde hij ook zijn eigen hardcorefeesten. Op die feesten, die onder andere plaatsvonden in buurthuizen en sporthallen, kwamen ook de toen al bekendere dj&#8217;s uit het genre. Toen hij rond 1995 ook aan het produceren sloeg, viel hij meer op bij het publiek. Zijn eerste hit dateert nog uit het gabbertijdperk: zijn gabberversie van Don&#8217;t Speak van No Doubt werd een succes.</p>
<p>Toen eind jaren negentig de stroming verdween door overkill en commerciële parodieën op de gabbermuziek, ging Promo verder met produceren. Dit resulteerde in de &#8216;Promo File&#8217;-reeks die hij eerst nog onder het label van ID&amp;T uitbracht. De &#8216;Promo Files&#8217; stonden aan de basis van een verandering in de sound van hardcoremuziek. Kenmerkend was het lagere tempo maar kicks die harder waren. In 2000 startte hij samen met collega X-ess een eigen label, The Third Movement.</p>
<p>In 2003 kreeg Promo de kans om zijn moderne hardcore te laten horen op het hardstylefeest &#8220;Qlimax&#8221; van Q-dance. Echter, een aantal dagen voor het feest besloot Promo niet te draaien nadat Q-dance hem maar 30 minuten gaf en tevens vroeg of hij niet hard wilde draaien. Het jaar daarop werd Promo gevraagd Sensation Black af te sluiten.</p>
<p>In 2004 vertrokken X-ess en Catscan waardoor DJ Promo alle vrijheid kreeg. Hij kwam met zijn alias Rude Awakening (industriële, experimentele hardcore/techno/elektro) en hij zette een boekingsbureau op, waar bijna alle grote hardcore-artiesten aangesloten zitten. Ook bracht hij een aantal sublabels waar hij collega-artiesten (Tommy Pulse en Lady Dana) de kans gaf om hun muziek uit te brengen.</p>

<p>Niet.nor.maal. Zoveel goeie tracks CJ Bolland heeft uitgebracht, dat hebben weinigen hem in de jaren negentig nagedaan. Zodra er een nieuwe tracks can CJ uitkwam wist je meteen, dit is kwaliteit!</p>

<p>Franky Jones op Wooferland 2018!. De schrijver, producer, componist en dirigent van nog steeds het dikste rave anthem ooit! The First Rebirth is geen track, het is geen rave, het is geen hardcore, dit is gewoon een zeer bruut stuk muziek dat verantwoordelijk is voor heel wat kippenvel- en nostalgische flashbacks.</p>

<p>Wat een toffe boeking als zeggen we het uiteraard weer zelf 🙂 De tracks van Jam zuilen bij menig 90&#8217;s kid warme herinneringen oproepen. Maar, ook de huidige generatie club- en festivalgangers gaan in extase bij het bekende &#8220;The Age Of Love&#8221;, ge-remixed door Jam &amp; Spoon. Mede door deze remix wordt The Age Of Love weer veel gedraaid door high-rollers als Adam Beyer, Nina Kravic en verder door vrijwel elke classics-dj.</p>
<p><strong>Biografie</strong><br />Jam El Mar werd vooral bekend als lid van het duo Jam &amp; Spoon, dat hij vormde sinds 1991 samen met de in januari 2006 overleden Mark Spoon (echte naam: Markus Löffel). Samen met Spoon bracht Jam El Mar ook nummers uit onder groepsnamen als Tokyo Ghetto Pussy en Storm.</p>
<p>Begin jaren 1990, voor de doorbraak van Jam &amp; Spoon, was Jam El Mar lid van de formatie Dance 2 Trance, samen met DJ Dag (echte naam: Dag Lerner). Het nummer wat zij produceerden genaamd &#8220;Power Of American Natives&#8221; was eind 1992, begin 1993 een grote internationale dance-hit.</p>

<p>Als je alle kilometers die Jean voor zijn gigs heeft gereden achter elkaar plakt dan kunnen we komen we waarschijnlijk in een volgend sterrenstelsel terecht. Jean heeft ook diverse hits op zijn naam staan waarvan waarschijnlijk zowel je oudtante en je buurvrouw The Launch wel kent. De koning van de club sound draait 29 agustus op Wooferland 2020 op de club/trance stage.</p>

<p>Het is alweer even geleden dat Isis op Wooferland festival stond, maar we vonden het wel weer tijd geworden ondertussen. Al decennia een vast waarde in de Nederlandse scene, en altijd heerlijke en verrassende sets.</p>
<p>In 2017 vierde ze haar 25 jarig jubileum in Paradiso, kom ook genieten van Isis op Wooferland in de liefste area van het festival; The House of Love en ze neemt je mee terug naar toen!</p>

<p>Steve started messing around with records at the age of 16. At that time he got some mixtapes from a DJ called Sven Van Hees (Global Cuts,Gemini) and tried to do the same mixes as he did on the tapes.<br />
As Steve got better some friends gave him a chance to spin at their party&#8217;s. Some people heard Steve play there and asked him to play in Brussels with Mark Kamins and Poltergeist.<br />
That was his first big party.</p>
<p>After that party, Renaat from R&amp;S Records contacted Steve to do some studio work for him together with C.J. Bolland.<br />
Then he started working in La Rocca as Light-Jockey.<br />
After a while Steve got the chance to play with the resident DJ Eric Beysens,and he became the second resident together with Eric. they also played together at Bocaccio Life in Gent.<br />
At that time he also did a lot of party&#8217;s across Belgium and Ibiza.</p>
<p>After 2 ½ years La Rocca Steve moved to Café d&#8217;Anvers. There he shared the decks with DJ Koenie. Because Café D&#8217;Anvers was also big in the Netherlands, he did a lot of partys&#8217;s there. It was getting hard to combine a residencie and playing in other countries, so Steve left Café D&#8217;Anvers at that time.<br />
In this period he also played at the Wild &amp; Lethal Trash Party for Walter Van Beirendonck and suplied him with music for one of his fashion shows in Paris.</p>
<p>In Holland a club called Exposure contacted him to do some regular nights there, so he had some kind of homebase again.<br />
After 2 years in Holland Steve looked for a new challenge and returned to Belgium. There he started in a new club called FUSE. After that he had another regular club at Waregem called Cirao Dance Hall.</p>
<p>In the meantime Steve was also guest DJ in clubs all over the world going from Rex Club in Paris to Chili (South America), Cocorico in Rimini (Italy) and other countries and even a DJ set on the catwalk for Dirk Van Saenen&#8217;s Transformations fashion show also in Paris.<br />
When that was over Steve played together with Zzino at The Scene located in Oudenaerde.</p>
<p>For the moment he enjoys family life and do the occasional retro set solo or with his good friend Tomaz.<br />
Recently he started a new concept with Peter Decuypere called, The Hipson Brothers.</p>

<p>Ontdekte het mixen met platen als Franky Goes To Hollywoord&#8217;s Relax en High Energy van Evelyn Thomas. Nou dan zit je als startpunt qua klassiekers wel in de juiste hoek om op Wooferland te staan. Jose scoorde ook vele hits als de klassieker Wrong=right en G-Spott. Op 25 augustus 2018 staat Jose op de vijftiende editie van Wooferland.</p>

<p>Sidney is geen onbekende op Wooferland. Zowel voor als achter de schermen levert hij morele fysieke steun maar ook in de booth weet hij waar de mosterd staat. Ook won hij de dj-contest waarmee hij op de Freestyle stage op het festival neerstreek.</p>
<p>Tijdens Winter Wooferland 2018 staat hij in de bovenzaal om een klassiek pak slaag uit de delen vanachter de decks. </p>
